We barely used the patio the first couple of years we live in the house and it was time to take advantage of our backyard, which was one of the biggest selling points for this house. The shape of the patio was a weird half-circle shape, so we hired a contractor to square it out. We then painted it white, which perhaps wasn’t the smartest idea…haha

There’s a whole lot that needs to be done to this space but most of them are future projects. Those projects include changing the siding (that yellow ugh I can’t), replacing the windows and French doors and painting the house a different color (not a huge fan of red brick).

We then added a couple of posts for a shade sail; as you can see in the picture above, we get a ton of direct sun light during the day. And notice below why the white paint on the concrete wasn’t such a good idea; we have to power wash very often.

Then it was time for my favorite part, which is to style with furniture and accessories and voila. The loveseat and table are from Target, the rest of the furniture from Homegoods and the plants from the Home Depot. And now we get to enjoy this space when the weather is nice. That fan may not be aesthetically pleasing but it comes in really handy on hot summer days.

And the night time view is just so peaceful. We added cafe lights to create a cozy mood.
